Evolutionary Morphology and Palaeobiology of Vertebrates

Fieldwork

Several members of our group have conducted palaeontological fieldwork, exploring rocks of different eras and in different countries. At the moment, most fieldwork is is related to a long-term project in the Cenozoic of Venezuela, supported among others and currently by the National Geographic Society. It concerns the palaeobiology of vertebrates in Venezuela mostly around 10-5 million years ago, the time around the formation of the Panama bridge between South and North America.
